The College offers a number of scholarships for boys who display high academic potential, and who would benefit from attending a school like St Joseph's.
Scholarships are only offered to students who are not already attending St Joseph’s College. They are not available to students who are currently enrolled.
For boys entering Year 7 in 2011The St Joseph's College Academic Scholarships provide one half (50 per cent) remission of whichever fees are applicable to the successful student/s (boarding or day) for six years of secondary education at St Joseph’s College.
Up to three scholarships are offered to students who sit the ACER Cooperative Scholarship Testing Program on
Saturday 8 May 2010.

For boys entering Year 10 in 2011One (1) full scholarship giving a 100 per cent remission of fees. This is awarded to a mathematically gifted student currently in Year 9 at a school other than St Joseph’s College, Hunters Hill. This scholarship is offered to attract new students to the College in 2010 and is not available to students currently attending the College. The successful applicant mustl be enrolled as a boarder (weekly or full) and will study accelerated Mathematics in Year 10 and HSC Mathematics in Year 11.
Applicants are to sit for an examination set by the College.
For boys entering Year 10 in 2011One (1) full scholarship for students gifted in English, giving 100 per cent remission of fees. This scholarship is offered to attract new students to the College in 2010 and is not available to students currently attending the College. The successful applicant must be enrolled as a boarder (weekly or full).
Applicants are to present a portfolio of their work and sit for an examination set by the College.
For boys entering Years 7 to 10 in 2011Up to two (2)scholarships will be offered, giving a one half (50 per cent) remission of fees (boarding or day) for up to six years of secondary education at St Joseph’s College. These scholarships are offered to attract new students to the College in 2010 and are not available to students currently attending the college. Successful applicants will receive free music tuition and instrument hire for one instrument. Preference is given to players of orchestral instruments.
Through the generosity of the Farrell and Renshaw families, St Joseph's College offers the following scholarships.
These are available to new and continuing students in Years 10, 11 and 12 at the College:
Farrell ScholarshipsPresented by the Farrell Family in memory of their parents. The Gregory Patrick and Marie Dolores Farrell Memorial Scholarships are partial scholarships, offering a one-third reduction of the boarding and tuition fee. Available to boarding students entering Year 11 from rural/regional NSW who epitomise the Joeys spirit of striving for better things and who, without such assistance, would not be able to attend St Joseph’s College.
Renshaw ScholarshipsPresented by the Renshaw family. The Dr Maurice Edward Renshaw AM Memorial Scholarships are partial scholarships, offering a one-third reduction of the boarding and tuition fee. Available to boarding students entering Years 10 or 11 from rural/regional NSW who epitomise the Joeys spirit of striving for better things and who, without such assistance, would not be able to attend St Joseph’s College.
Please note: The Farrell and Renshaw Scholarships are not available every year.
