2012 tour to Italy - places still available

In April 2012, SJC History teacher Mr Mark Halsted will lead students and families on a tour to Italy. There are a few places left for people interested in joining this fascinating trip, but hurry - spots are filling up fast!

The tour will be focussed on Ancient History, but will also include the experience and flavour of the wonderful country.

The tour will include  visits to:

  • Rome, with its wonderful ancient past including the Forum, Colosseum, Palatine Hill, Pantheon, Capitoline and Vatican museums as well as St Peter’s
  • Outside Rome including Hadrian’s villa in Tivoli and ancient Ostia
  • Beautiful Sorrento, the gateway to Pompeii, Herculaneum and Naples
  • Florence and the wonders of the Renaissance
  • Ravenna, ancient capital of the Roman world in the 5th century AD
  • Venice, with its wonderful sights
