Mr Lantry's last class at Joeys

Tony Lantry's last lesson at SJCAfter 50 years of helping SJC students understand polynomials, trigonometric functions, binomial theorem and geometrical applications of differentiation, one of St Joseph's College's great Mathematics teachers, Mr Tony Lantry, has taught his last class.

The Year 11 Mathematics Extension 2 students had the honour of being the last students Mr Lantry will teach at the College. They were joined by Deputy Headmaster, Br Anthony Boyd, for a farewell celebration. As the historic final lesson was concluding other SJC staff members visited the classroom to offer Mr Lantry a rousing send off, complete with applause and cheers.

A gala dinner to recognise Tony Lantry's many great contributions and achievements, and to wish him well in his retirement, was held at the College on Saturday 21 November.
