2008 graduate wins entertainment scholarship

2008 graduate, Matthew Price, has been awarded a scholarship at JMC Academy, one of Australia’s leading providers of education and training for the creative industries.

The scholarship, which was one of only five presented at the academy’s Sydney campus, will allow Matthew to study a Bachelor of Entertainment, majoring in Popular Music and Performance.

 

The selection process for the scholarship was rigorous, including a comprehensive written application lodged in November last year, an interview and two live performances in front of the selection panel.

The college community knows Matthew as a highly talented musician who was always eager to be involved in a range of performances at the college. He was presented with a 2008 Year 12 Academic Award for finishing first place in the HSC Music 1 course at St Joseph’s.

Head of Music at SJC, Mr Alan Dawson, congratulated Matthew on his wonderful achievement.

"I look forward to following his progress in this contemporary course at JMC," he said.
