Year 12 student Isaiah Stanley won a national award for his contribution to the community. Isaiah, a Wiradjuri man from Wellington and a boarder since Year 9, was among four finalists from NSW, Western Australia and Queensland for Boarding Australia’s award for Exceptional Contribution to the Community by an Indigenous Boarding Student.

The College’s Indigenous Co-ordinator, Mr Ed Morgan, said that Isaiah demonstrated a tireless work ethic, a perpetually positive demeanour, unfaltering care for his peers and constant support for younger boys. “He is a respected leader in the Joey’s Indigenous Program as well as throughout the College,” Mr Morgan said. “He continues to embody the modest determination and commitment to work and the care for those around him that are all key aspects of Marist education and things we take great pride in.”
