Headmasters Assembly

The richness of College life was on full display at the Headmasters Assembly in Br Emilian Hall yesterday. After Mr Tarlinton’s address, in which he implored the boys to see Christ in others, Head of Teaching and Learning Matt Bookallil presented students from Years 8, 9 and 10 with Academic Application Awards.
Year 11 boys also reported on an important sustainability initiative that will better dispose of food waste, but it was the presentation of the GPS swimmers to a rousing Viking Clap that brought out the famous Joeys spirit. Squad captain Liam Stewart said team members had trained hard and were looking forward to their first carnival.
The assembly was rounded out with College band Symphonic Wind Ensemble’s excellent rendition of Dances of a Shimmering Spirit by Robert Sheldon.
